Rockin' the New Area

Merry Christmas!!!

This week has been pretty amazing! I've settled into my new area (I'm
holding you in suspense for the time being), my new companion is
awesome,  (hopefully) Ismael got baptized yesterday, and Ashley (girl
in my new area) got confirmed as well!

Tuesday was basically spent packing and visiting with Lucie and
Ismael, both as a farewell and, more importantly, so Ismael could have
his baptism interview, which he apparently passed with flying colors!

Wednesday was the fateful day. I am now assigned to the Suitland Zone,
serving the people of the White Plains 2nd (WP2) Ward! My companion is
Elder Sorensen. He's from Oren, UT and has been out about 18 months.
He's super cool!

Sadly, because WP2 is like an hour away from Laurel and we meet at 1
(when Ismael's baptism would be), I was unable to attend his baptism.
Hopefully it went well though! On the bright side though, I had the
opportunity to help confirm Ashley, a new convert in the WP2 Ward,
which was really cool! We stopped by her place twice during the week
and she is really cool! I'm super excited to continue working in this
ward!

As I said, life is good down here (we are out on the peninsula, almost
about as far south as you can go in this mission). Things are a lot
more spread out down here, which that combined with the fact that
Sorensen isn't allowed
to drive, means I get to do a lot of driving.
Which is actually quite fun!

I love you all! Have an amazing Christmas!

Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
