Greetings everyone!
As mentioned last week, things tend to flow together a lot down here
in White Plains. Though as always, there have been happenings of note
afoot!
First of which was on Tuesday night, the Priest's quorum advisors
asked us to come to mutual that night and show the Priests in the Ward
how to sew on a button and iron a shirt to help prepare them for their
missions. It was pretty fun, though it ended up being mostly spent
watching the priests struggle to iron a shirt while one of the
advisors (who is ex-military) criticized their ironing job, which was
quite hilarious.
Tuesday also was the final district meeting of the transfer! Which was
pretty good! It also means that I have more pictures!
We continued to teach The Groves and Jaelyn in preparation for their
baptism at the end of this week! They are all very ready for it and I
am excited for them to take this step forward in their lives!
Transfers were also this week, which didn't really mean much for me
because Elder Flandro and I are staying companions here for another
transfer (though I imagine that I'm going to be out after this one
since I will have spent a total of six months here at the end of this
transfer).
Final thing of note that happened was on Saturday, we went over to
continue helping a lady replace the siding on her trailer house (it's
been a project for the last few weeks) and while we usually are only
there from about 9 until 12 or 1, we ended up being there helping out
until about 5:30... By the end of it, both of us were about ready to
collapse right there. Have you ever been so tired that you've started
to sing the Canadian National Anthem? Well, Elder Flandro has! I also
got to remove a toilet during this time (picture included! Warning,
not for the faint of heart (just kidding, it's not that bad)).
