Spring has arrived, and along with it is much warmer weather (we had
several days in the 80's this last week, which is only a problem
because it means that the summer will be HOT)! On the bright side
though, the cherry blossoms are blooming and they are expected to be
in full bloom next week, which is awesome!
This was a pretty good week! On Monday, for P-day, we went disc
golfing. That was pretty fun (though I wasn't that great at it. It was
still amusing)! (Picture included)
On Tuesday, I went on exchange with Elder Talbot to the 1st Ward,
which was also pretty fun!
Wednesday was the mission temple day! I am so grateful for every
opportunity I get to attend the temple! The spiritual strength I get
from attending truly does help me feel the direction of the Spirit in
my life! That evening, we went on exchange with the Priests for their
mutual activity. I love being able to go on splits with the young men
and being able to help them prepare for their missions! We also found
out that night that Elder Sorensen is going to spend the last two
transfers of his mission training a new missionary!
On Friday, I was on exchange with Elder Talbot again. Which was once
again very fun!
On Saturday, White Plains 2nd had its Ward talent show. Elders Summit
and Sorensen did a skit from "Shakespeare's Star Wars" which is the
scripts from the Star Wars movie written in a Shakespearean dialect.
They did the "Luke, I am your father" scene. It was pretty hilarious!
(Pictures of costumes included). That night, transfer call-outs came
and I am... LEAVING WHITE PLAINS 2ND! I'm sad to be leaving, but I
know that Elder Sorensen and his "kid" (mission term for trainee) will
continue to do great things here! That being said, I'm excited to find
out where I'm headed, which will be tonight sometime!
Yesterday at church, Bishop Cottle found out during Ward counsel that
I am leaving and therefore had me bear my testimony during sacrament
meeting, which was cool.
As I said, this week was a great week! Tune in next time to find out
where I'm headed! I love you all! Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
