Greetings everyone! I wish the best to those who were hit by hurricane
Matthew. Unfortunately, hurricanes Mark and Luke will be more of the
same with more stress on different areas and hurricane John will be
something completely different altogether. (And with my tasteless
humor out of the way, on to my week).
This week, the mission was visited by Elder Bennett of the Seventy
and he talked with us about how to better help our investigators come
to Christ. During the meeting, Sister Johnson had me come up and
perform "Savior Redeemer of my Soul" for Elder Bennett and the other
missionaries in attendance and it went really well and the Spirit was
super strong! I say this every time it happens, but I LOVE being able
to use music to help people feel the Spirit and feel our Heavenly
Father's love for them!
On the flip side, we had finally figured out everything for Lisa to
come to church on Sunday, only for her to call the member that was to
give her a ride telling him that she doesn't want anything to do with
our church any more... so we are pretty sure that she was also anti'd,
which really stinks. Hopefully some day in the future, she will be
able to meet with missionaries again and be accepting of the Gospel!
Evan, Lilly, and Jaelyn all continue to be awesome! Evan turned 14
recently and became a teacher, which was awesome to see!
Once again, these weeks kinda continue to run together, but also as
always, I love you all and hope you have a great week!
Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
