On the Hunt for a New Companion

Greetings everyone!

Transfers were this week and I find myself continuing here in White
Plains 2 with a new companion: Elder Hunt from Wayne County, Utah! He
has been out for about 10 months and is AWESOME! I can already tell
now that this is going to be an amazing transfer (hopefully it will be
at least two transfers though, because that'd be awesome)!

This week, we ended up doing a ton of service! All day Friday was
split between helping an elderly couple in the Ward stack and chop
firewood for the winter and helping Ashley move a ton of stuff from
the house she was living in to a storage unit. Saturday we were
helping a member of our Ward rebuild his basement (as in tearing down
and rebuilding walls, putting up insulation, hanging doors,
constructing a fireplace, all that good stuff). All of it was quite
fun and a good experience and way to help us grow closer to the
members of the Ward!

Other notable thing that happened this week: we started teaching a
Jehovah's Witness named Sam and it went alright. The lesson was going
really well until he started to ponder a lot of the things we were
teaching him so he started yelling at us about the identity of Jehovah
and the lesson really didn't go anywhere after that... on the bright
side though, he did invite us back for tomorrow, so we will see what
happens with that!

Things are going very well down here. Hopefully next week I will have
more updates on people. Transfer weeks are always kinda crazy though.

Until then, I love you all! Have a great week!

Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams

1&2. Elder Flandro threw a mattress on top of me and Elder Shih
decided to take advantage of that.
3. Elder Shih left his rice cooker in our apartment and asked if he
could get it back, this was my reply
