The First of the Last

As June begins, as does the last full month of my mission, which is
really crazy!

This week was pretty good, we started it off by doing some service for
a sister in the Ward (we took a bunch of stuff that she was throwing
out to her curb so the garbage people could pick it up the next day).
That was pretty fun. I always love being able to help people out with
stuff like that!

On Thursday, we had Zone Conference, which was actually the last Zone
Conference of my mission, which is weird! That meant that at the end
of the conference, I got up with all of the departing missionaries and
bore my "Death Testimony" which was a very surreal experience as I've
gone my whole mission watching others bear their death testimonies it
was weird to finally be the one doing it. Me being the classy
music-minded person I am, I bore my testimony using lyrics from the
chorus of Coldplay's "Fix You" about how through relying on Jesus
Christ and His Atonement, we all can be made whole, no matter what
trials we go through or what mistakes we make he has suffered for us
so that if we trust in Him, he will be able "to fix [us]". The rest of
the Zone Conference was about prayer and how to both strengthen our
own personal prayers and how to help our investigators pray as well,
which were all things I needed to hear! It was honestly the best Zone
Conference I've had in about a year!

On Friday, we taught Christiana the rest of the commandments and she
continues to be very accepting of the Gospel and the things that are
required of her. Unfortunately, due to some scheduling stuff (Stake
Conferences and such) her Baptismal date will need to be pushed back
to the end of June, but I know that she will definitely be ready by
that point to enter into the waters of baptism!

Much of Saturday was spent helping the Taylors (Ward Mission Leader
and his family) move their stuff into a truck that they have now taken
to Tennessee. It was a good move and I'm happy that we were able to
help them make the move go even smoother, but I'm very sad because I'm
going to miss the Taylors a lot! Now with my luck, they will call a
new Ward Mission Leader either right before or right after I go home,
so I more or less, get to be acting Ward Mission Leader for a little
bit... yay...

Well, that's all from me for this week! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!

Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
