Staking Out a Returning Member!

Hello, hello, goodbye, and hello again! (I think I used this one
earlier, but it's been many months since than so I think I'm good!)

I always have a hard time thinking of transitions into what happened
this week so on to my week!

Tuesday, Brother S randomly called us and asked us to come over,
which we did. It turns out that some of the people that he lives with
were giving him a hard time for being a member of the church, so he
wanted us to come over to help him feel better. We ended up reading
Alma 34 with him on a whim, which ended up being EXACTLY what he
needed to hear! I know that even though we just chose that scripture
on a whim, the decision was guided by the Spirit! He also told us that
he REALLY wants to come back to church, he just needed a belt and a
ride. We promised that we'd get him both and set up a time to visit
him Thursday.

Wednesday  was the departing temple trip, which was, once again,
AMAZING! I feel so blessed to have the temple in my mission and to be
able to go to it each transfer! I've gained so much strength from the
Spirit through attending the temple! I know that the temple is the
House of the Lord!

Wednesday was the final zone-district meeting of the transfer. Meaning
testimonies and pictures! As always those will be at the end of this
email for y'all's enjoyment! After the meetings reached their
conclusion, we ventured forth once again to Brother S's to drop
off the belt and had yet another awesome lesson with him! We read 2
Nephi 2 and it once again, was EXACTLY what he needed to read!  Which
also goes to show the divine power of the Book of Mormon! The fact
that it is able to answer the questions of our soul and provides the
comfort and direction that we need in our lives!

This weekend was Silver Spring Stake Conference! Funny enough, I got
transferred out of Silver Spring immediately after the last stake
conference they had and got put back in just in time for this one. I
guess Heavenly Father really wants me to be at their stake conferences
or something. Either way, it was really good and we were able to find
Brother S a ride so he was able to attend the Sunday morning
session! He loved being able to come to church again and felt the
Spirit very powerfully the whole time! Hopefully, he can continue to
come to church and return to the fold!

I seriously love being a missionary so much! It's moments like seeing
Brother S come back to church that show how amazing this work
really is! I love you all! Have an amazing week!

Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
