A Snowy Eviction

Hello hello! It's ICE to be talking to you all again!

Explanation for my sudden pun: It snowed all day Saturday and thus, we
were not allowed to leave the apartment the whole day.

Making matters even more fantastic: the day previous to that (Friday),
we had to take our car in to the shop because a ton of maintenance
lights suddenly turned on for no reason (nothing wrong with what the
car said was having issues) and the car started having super random
problems. So we are once again without a mode of transportation...
Which is absolutely wonderful...

The other bit of bad news we discovered on Saturday is that the
mission is moving senior sisters into our apartment (not the bad news)
and as a result, we have today to move literally everything out of our
apartment into two new apartments. The catch: we don't have any of the
new apartments yet, so we aren't really sure what's going on.

Now for the good news! While we were tracting one day, we knocked on
one door and got a "who is it?" from the person inside. When we said
that it was the missionaries, the person told us to "come on in". Once
inside, we met Selina, who is really awesome! We had a super good
discussion with her and taught her the first lesson, after which, she
accepted the invite to be baptized! I'm very excited to continue
working with her and see the gospel bless her life!

We also were able to set up Desiree's baptismal date! She will be
baptized Tuesday the 24th! I'm super excited for her as well!

Transfers are this Wednesday, though Elder Hunt and I are
pretty ire that we are staying together for one more transfer, so I'm
super excited for that! Unfortunately, I'll probably get the boot out
of the area after next transfer, but that will equal about 11 months
in this Ward, so I can't really complain!

I love you all! Have a fantastic week!

Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams

P.S. The mission is changing how mail is handled so letter and
packages sent to the mission office will take forever to get to me.
Once I get my new address, I will post it in my email as the preferred
shipping address. Though things sent to the office (address I usually
give) will still get to me eventually.
