Hello and Happy (late) Mother's Day!
This week we were able to meet with Christiana once again and she told
us that she really liked being able to go to church and will, work
permitting, try to make it at least every other week, which is
awesome! We were able to teach her the first few commandments and she
was very accepting and understanding of all of them, especially when
we committed her to read the Book of Mormon every day, she was
incredibly willing to do that! Hopefully before too much longer, she
will feel comfortable/confident enough to commit to baptism and will
be able to see all of the great blessings that will be poured out upon
her as she seeks to follow Christ and His example for us!
We also went on exchanges this week. But unlike basically every other
exchange I've ever gone on while on my mission, I actually got to
leave my area for once! I went down to the Carrollton Ward with Elder
Barduhn and Elder Talbot stayed with Elder Hirzel in Laurel. They were
able to meet with Omosayin during that time and he apparently
continues to do amazingly and is super excited to be baptized this
next Sunday (he was also at church yesterday, which is great!).
Meanwhile, Elder Barduhn and I spent the day trying to contact some of
the referrals they had. Though we did have two really awesome meetings
with some of their investigators that went really well! It's really
great to see that we both have amazing things going on in our areas
and that the Lord is truly preparing His children to receive his Word
and come unto Him. I feel truly honored to be even a small part in
this work!
That's honestly about all that happened this week as far as notable
things go. We received probably eleven or so more referrals in this
week alone so the battle continues on there!
I love you all! Have a fantastic week! Transfers are this week, but
hopefully President is keeping Elder Talbot and I together for the
rest of my mission!
Sincerely,
Elder Sam Williams
